SPACES, EVENTS AND PARTNERS FOR THE COMMUNITY

As a proud partner of the San Diego Padres, Gallagher is committed to helping create memorable experiences for fans, families and neighbors in the San Diego community.

In the fall of 2019, Gallagher launched a partnership with the San Diego Padres.

Given the values they share, Gallagher and the Padres are a natural fit. This partnership brings year-round entertainment to the San Diego community through a dedicated community space adjacent to Petco Park. At Brand33, we were tasked with helping to activate and announce this partnership for Gallagher. Since that activation, we continue to produce meaningful content that promotes community events and happenings for the greater San Diego area.

 

 

GALLAGHER SQUARE

A key brand opportunity of this partnership for Gallagher is a space just north of Petco Park, with trees and the Play Ball Field. This outdoor event space is designed for on and off game day gatherings and is dubbed “Gallagher Square.” At Brand33, we strategized around the naming of this unique brand space and developed brand signage overlooking the area.

GALLAGHER SQUARE FLAGS

To further tell the Gallagher brand story in the San Diego market, we designed flags that line the east and west sidewalks of Gallagher Square. The designs strategically promote what Gallagher does while incorporating the San Diego Padres into the designs.

 

SOCIAL MEDIA PROMOTION

An essential opportunity for this partnership is the long list of events put on at Gallagher Square. The Halloween Trail, Holiday Market, Padres Holiday Giving Tour, and other community and entertainment gatherings occur in the Gallagher-branded space. We help promote these events through the creation of social media posts that are strategically designed with elements from both the Gallagher and San Diego Padres brands. As a part of the regular MLB season, we also develop assets to cheer on the San Diego Padres throughout the season.

 

COMMUNITY CONCEPT VIDEO

We continue to produce regular content around this partnership with the Gallagher team. In the Community Concept Video Series, we ideated the concept, oversaw production, edited and designed a series of videos that highlight San Diego community heroes and their inspiring stories.

PARTNERSHIP GUIDELINES

An important part of partnership strategy is the consistent articulation of messaging and creative to build brand equity. None of the above work would be possible without a Partnership Brand Guide governing Gallagher and San Diego Partnership creative. We created this guide and continue to oversee its proper execution.

 

BRAND IMPACT

Gallagher Square allows for a unique brand exposure opportunity both on and off game days. Given that Gallagher Square is open all year round, it acts as a public gathering even when the Padres are out of season. During the MLB season alone, Gallagher garnered over 2.5 million in-person impressions from the Gallagher Square space.
